This half term, our school community came together for a heartwarming event: the Reception and Year 6 Buddy Celebration Service. This special service was a wonderful opportunity to officially welcome our new Reception children and their families into the St. Stephen’s community.
Our Year 6 pupils led the service with grace and enthusiasm. They read beautifully and guided us in song, creating a joyful atmosphere that filled the hall. It was inspiring to see the older pupils take on this leadership role, showcasing their talents while supporting our youngest learners. Not only that, Year 6 showcased to the whole school community how they are leading by example, showing the children how to be true ambassadors of St. Stephen's.
Following the service, we enjoyed tasty treats, allowing Year 6 and Reception parents to be formally introduced to one another and develop new friendships.
Thank you to all who participated and helped make this celebration a success. Here’s to many more shared experiences as our Reception children embark on their journey in our school community!
